Catching Up

I haven't been on in a while, other than blogging about Twilight, so here:

A little while ago I learned I was officially a Rhythm Express techie (backstage person) which is oober exciting. Rhythm is one of Fairfield's show choirs. Choraliers and Pure Elegance (the all girls group) are the High School choirs, while Rhythm is for Middle School studentsy people. Their Preview Show was on the 21st and it was totally beast. I'd link to it but it takes a little while to get those up on youtube so past performances will have to do for now. (i'll let you know as soon as they're up.) They're really good though, and you can check out the Choraliers on Saturday, Dec. 6th 1 pm, Liberty Building for the Annual Nativity Display. :D

School's school. My team walked down to McDonald's some Friday ago. It was fun except on the way back we saw 2 dead birds. And it provoked my social studies teacher (which if you knew him, would not be a surprise) to turn to his more teasing side... which isn't hard for him. He's hilarious, though, so it's ok. He kept going up to random students and going "Hey!! Watch out for that bird!!!" causing a lot of people to jump. It was really funny until he threw a piece of bark at me and screamed my name, telling me to watch out. I saw him through something but I still ended up being blond enough to scream and totally freak out. Still, it was oober hilarious.

I babysat and had a band concert and dance which is always fun. I'm excited, for my classes toe shoe number we're doing a Phantom of the Opera medley thingy. And we are going to try to do Taylor Swift's song Love Story next year. :)

We finally reached Thanksgiving Break and it's gone by so fast, I have to go back to school tomorrow. :( Over break, though, I went bowling with some friends, which was fun, even though I got creamed. My friend ended up falling on his face when it was his turn. Don't ask, I don't know how he managed that. But it was hilarious and we got it on video!

We went to the Robertsons for Thanksgiving dinner, like every year. It was awesome. There were crazy amount of people there - like 28 or something like that. But it was beast and yummylicious! :)

Umm... I guess that's about it. Yup.. =D

Rotten Apples

Twilight...

Awesomely fantastic book. That story is beast wrapped in a bindingy thing. They're the best books I've ever read. The movie...

Well, it pretty much kinda sorta sucked on ice!

Kristen Stewart can't act worth crap, at least in that movie. It seemed like she forgot her lines or something cuz her stuttering in every other sentence really bugged me. And she was oober awkward, especially with Robert Pattinson. Zero chemistry there. Just empty space with a bunch of awkward turtles swimming around. Way over dramatic with not so dramatic scenes, too.

Every scene that was serious in the book was a funny part in the movie because they couldn't act and it seemed so fake. And every funny one in the book was serious and stiff in the movie. Like when Bella figures out Edward's a vampire. First of all, they're in the freaking car, not the forest. Secondly, he's laughing at her because she doesn't care that he could be planning on killing her in .2 seconds. They switched up the scenes a lot in the movie. That always sucks. Like with this one or the first kiss scene. (in a forest, not her room!!)

Oh!! The bedroom scene.. WHAT THE CRAP!!!!! That was the worst kissing scene in movie history. And when Edward was sucking out the venom from Bella's arm and "couldn't stop." What?!? It looked like he was about to eat her whole, he was sucking on so much of her arm!! And she was panting so hard that it looked almost like a fish out of water.

But I don't think the entire no chemistry issue was Rob's fault. He may not have looked a thing like Edward, but he did a good job as Cedric in Harry Potter so he can act. He did the bestish he could with what he had.. ish..

As for the other characters, Rosalie could have been meaner and Esme could have been a little more motherly, but they were still good. Emmett was sweetness and majorly hot, Carlisle was beasty, Alice was the perfect amount of crazy, perky, and funny and Jasper was hilariously amazing!!! Her friends (Angela Weber, Jessica Stanley, and Eric Yorkie) were cast really well, especially Mike Newton.. nuff said. The Nomads were awesome. Laurent, Victoria, and James were funny at the right times, seriously creepy at the right times. Charlie was amazingly funny and the awkward dad he was supposed to be. Taylor Lautner did a great job as Jacob, even though he was only shown for an itty bit of the movie. (Although, they didn't get really into the Quiluete stories much.) But I can't tell you if he'll do well in the next ones.

Edward's glitter really ticked me off. He was supposed to be almost brighter than the sun, sparkling. How is he supposed to dazzle and make that a really sweet quote if he can't manage to glow in the sun?!? Instead it looked like computer generated or glued on glitter. I could barely tell that something was happening!! Grr!

The movie didn't flow as well as the books, it seemed sort of choppy. It was a huge disappointment and I think that if I hadn't read the book first, I would have been like "This is stupid, no way am I reading those crap books." Which isn't fair cuz they're beast books, not crap books. =(

I feel like I'm missing something about the movie that I wanted to say. But that's probably just cuz the movie was missing a lot of somethings.. or I'll remember it right after I publish the post. In which case, just find me and ask about it if you really want to know.

But anyway, I called this post "Rotten Apples" because you know how people say you shouldn't settle for the rotten, bad apples on the bottom of the tree? Well, don't settle for the crappy, stupid movie, READ THE BOOKS!!!

PS~ Question: Is it bad if you liked the characters except for the main 1 1/2? (I half liked Edward, half didn't.)

Poems and Movies

This is going to be a short post but I'm gonna post it anyway.. I think haiku's are pretty cool, like my quote me for today..

"Haiku's are simple
but sometimes they don't make sense
refrigerator"

Isn't that funny?!

And PS.. TWILIGHT COMES OUT IN 6 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grr!!

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm tired right now and I can't really think of anything good to post about. That is mainly because our house is being swarmed by stupid, annoying, icky, and just plain mean gnats! They keep flying at our faces and buzzing by our ears and landing all over everything!

Besides the annoyance of the spelling of their name, (whoever thought to put a g in front of nat??) all they do is fly around and bother everybody. No one likes them, no one can focus, I HATE GNATS!!

Why can't they all just die? They have absolutely no purpose here except to try our patience and I can think of better ways to do that (and they don't include random swats at the sky every 2 seconds!!)

While writing this post, I counted how many I saw just flying around, their brains too small to comprehend just how annoying they really are.. 11. This is a short post and there are eleven stupid bugs messing up my train of thought.

So grr, gnats!!! Stay away from me!!!!

PS~ It also feels like they're all over you, picking at your brain...

Are you the Sweet Invention of a Lover's Dream

or are you merely as wonderful as you seem?

That's a line in a song from the Roger and Hammerstein version of Cinderella, that I love. Just the fact that Cinderella is a Disney movie makes it beast, plus the really cute story line. I like the songs in this version of it, especially this one. (Do I love you because)

My Quote Me for today also comes from this song. It's really a cute one, just before Cinderella runs away. But anywayz, here's my quote: "Do I love you because you're beautiful or are you beautiful because I love you?!"

Isn't that sweet?!?

PS~ here's the link to the song plus there's a bunch of other songs from this version on the side listy thingy!

Teddy Bears

So I am very tired at the moment but I realized I haven't put a Quote Me in a while so here is one.

There have been comments (mom, cough) that I am a little obsessed with Twilight. To prove them right, my quote is from Emmett, my favorite giant teddy. There are so many Emmett quotes that show his funny, cute, and just plain beasty personallity but after some careful consideration, I finally picked my quote (I still can't believe I only picked one!)

But here it is: "I'm really glad Edward didn't kill you.. things are more fun with you around." (talking to Bella, duh)

There are so many more, it was really hard to choose. But it's funny so.. :)

My Personel Game of Chess

POSSIBLE SPOILER (IF YOU HAVENT READ NEW MOON/OTHER TWILIGHT BOOKS, STAY AWAY) I PUT THIS CUZ I HATE SPOILERS!!

Anywayz..

Even though, if you knew the books, referring to a game of chess in my title doesnt fit the book Twilight/it's movie. It does, however, fit my background - I couldnt find any apple ones. :'(

So.. I know i'm not the only one oober excited about November 21. And, ask Katie, i'm excited! I am constantly visiting Stephanie Meyer's officail website (it's linked where it says 'twilight' on my blog description-i think that's what it is-if you couldnt tell) and it's fun. Plus it's very informational. Like did you know that Stephanie Meyer had a dream (the middle of Twilight, then she later added the beginning and ending) and poof! there was an amazing book!! Or that she hadnt planned a sequel at first so Jacob Black's charater just kind of grew. Even as she had him telling Bella the Quileute legends, Stephanie had no clue this character would turn into a werewolf in New Moon. See, very interesting.

But anyway...

I, obviously, love these books so I will provide a um few links in this post to some pretty awesome Twilight stuff. Here we go:

Have fun (i know i did! :D)
